Andy brings over 30 years of experience as Managing Director and Chief Exploration Officer at the TYF Group, a founding UK B Corp and social enterprise. TYF create experiences that help people connect deeply to nature and purpose to trigger transformative shifts in life and at work. TYF inspire awareness, bold ideas and curiosity through adventure and experiential learning in wild places, boardrooms and classrooms.
As an experienced Non-Exec Director, facilitator, speaker, and advisor to business and government, Andy inspires and enables leaders to deliver transformational innovation to help solve carbon, biodiversity, resource, and wellbeing challenges. His focus is on the facilitation of climate and sustainability solutions, using biomimicry and strategy innovation to accelerate behavior change. His work concentrates on bringing together the best of practice from leading businesses and sharing it widely within organizations, across sectors, and with government to make sustainability happen faster.
Andy is also a Founding Partner of the Do Lectures, a specialist mentor with the Unreasonable Group and a B Corp Ambassador. Additionally, Andy is a member of the Innovation Advisory Council for Wales and recently completed ten years as a Non-Exec Director for Natural Resources Wales. He’s shaping projects to develop nature and activity-based solutions to wellbeing at country-scale and to ensure that every child leaves school fully prepared to wrestle with and ease complex challenges on climate and nature.
Andy combines deep knowledge and passion in his work for the environment and is dedicated to achieving progress through collaboration. He has been called a rare creative force, truly visionary yet highly practical. He believes finding purpose in business and life is essential for success, as well as always creating time to play.
Andy is a Fellow at the Royal Society of Arts, and at IEMA. He works internationally and from his home city of St Davids Wales, UK, balancing desk and delivery time with surfing, sea kayaking, and land work.
