Co-founder of Climate Leadership platform for business powered by UN Environment. Head of Sustainability Transition at Kozminski University. Director of Positive Entrepreneurship Research Lab. 

Boleslaw has been working with businesses for over 30 years as an entrepreneur and consultant. He is one of the co-founders of both the first environmental NGO in Poland and its first CSR organization. He has profound expertise in the theory and practice of sustainability, the circular economy, innovative business models, values-driven transformation, corporate responsibility, and sustainable entrepreneurship. 

His roles at Kozminski University, one of the Central & Eastern Europe’s leading business schools include Head of Sustainability Transition, Professor of Corporate Sustainability Management as well as Director of Positive Entrepreneurship Research Lab and Director of “SDGs in the Company’s Strategy” Executive Programme. 

Boleslaw is the Co-founder of the Climate Leadership platform for business, powered by the UN Environment. He is also the Associate Research Expert at SUSTBUSY Research Center Business & Society – Towards a Sustainable World at ESCP Europe. 

He was the founder of the Responsible Business Forum in Poland (2000) affiliated to CSR Europe. He is an Advisory Board Coordinator for UN Global Compact Network Poland, a board member at The Institute of Innovation and Responsible Development Innowo and founder of Reconomy: Coalition for Circular Economy in Poland. 

He participates in several international projects on ethics and business responsibility, including: “Social Innovation in Energy Transitions”, “Transition from Linear 2 Circular. Policy and Innovation”, “Sustainable Lifestyles 2.0. End User Integration, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship”.

He was also the Co-founder of the first Zen Buddhism community in CEE (1974). 

Through his work, Boleslaw explores implementation models of corporate responsibility strategies toward different groups of stakeholders. His research interests lie in the intersection of social innovation, circular economy, sustainability, public policy, and corporate responsibility management.

He is the author and co-author of strategic reports, studies and articles including, “Responsible Business in Uncertain Times and for a Sustainable Future” (Springer, 2019), “Transition Redesigned. A Practical Philosophy Perspective” (Routledge, 2017), “Understanding Ethics and Responsibilities in a Globalizing World” (Springer, 2016).

Additionally, Boleslaw is a keynote speaker, lecturer, impact investor, mentor for young entrepreneurs and jury member in different business competitions.
