Edgard is a visionary who dedicates his career to mobilizing teenagers, youth, and adults through collective actions to create small community revolutions. By designing and applying virtual games, scavenger hunts, and playful, cooperative activities, he encourages and inspires people to work together to transform themselves, their communities, their immediate environment, and the wider world beyond.

He is the CEO of Epic Journeys, a company promoting the regeneration of communities in organizations, schools, and NGOs through workshops, lectures, play, and events. He is also co-founder of LiveLab, who specifically act with youth leading regeneration in their own communities, highlighting Jornada X and Primavera X.

Edgard is an Ashoka Fellow, a Berkana Fellow, a TRIP Transformers Fellow, and a Fellow of the Responsible Leader BMW Foundation.  He is a Professor of Post-graduation Cooperative Games Pedagogy, the Youth Initiative Program and MSLS in Sweden, Knowmads in the Netherlands, C-Xin in Taiwan, and Gaia Training in Brazil.

He is a partner of Projeto Cooperação and co-founder of Instituto Elos and Oasis Game as well as the Warriors Without Weapons Program, where he participated until 2010.

Edgard is the creator of X Journey, an online scavenger hunt that challenges children and young people in real-world tasks to mobilize their communities in hands-on actions to regenerate social and environmental issues within their local and national communities. It aims to engage 2 billion people playing together to restore balance in the Biosphere.

Edgard believes deeply in the transformative power of play to change the world. He is passionate about people, nature, and the planet, and the care and joyful celebration of life on Earth are what drives his dedication to co-create deep and lasting global change.

Edgard is a TEDx Lecturer and international consultant in Europe, North America, and Asia where he applies social technologies such as Cooperative Games, World Cafe, Open Space, Circular Dances, Nonviolent Communication, and X Journey.
