Eric designs award-winning mobilization programs to create regenerative and resilient organizations and businesses. He advises and coaches leadership in corporations, NGOs, and the public sector on how to design economic activities that have a positive impact on people and the biosphere.
Eric’s experience gained in over 25 countries extends from future-proof innovation in complex systems, to organizational learning and leadership development, human-scale development, and exponential technologies.
As International Chairman of The Natural Step since 2015, he has helped lead the international not-for-profit organization to apply its evolution methodologies with thousands of corporations, municipalities, academic institutions and other organizations.
Together with Paolo Di Cesare, Eric founded sustainability and purpose-driven innovation and design consultancy Nativa in 2012. Their desire was to create a company with a genuine sense of purpose and a positive impact on society. Nativa helps other businesses to become a regenerative force and create authentic economic value.
Eric is passionate about sustainability and helping individuals, organizations, and society as a whole to cope with the onslaught of environmental changes. He firmly believes that it is possible to be profitable and have a positive impact on society and that this will be the future of all business.
Eric was one of the 80 leaders selected in 2010 by Singularity University, NASA Ames Research Center, Silicon Valley, to leverage exponentially advancing technologies to address humanity’s Grand Challenges. He was Most Valuable Player 2016 of the global B Corp movement for introducing the legal form Società Benefit. The Good Lobby Award recipient 2018. Keynote speaker, Singularity U Faculty member. Eric is a ski mountaineer & long-distance triathlete.
