Hans has expertise blending business acumen and design sensibility gained throughout a career focused on building and running design consulting firms. He is experienced in business strategy and expansion, executive consultancy, finances, contracts and organization, leadership culture, personal mastery processes, and integrating mindfulness into company culture. As his major accomplishment, Hans co-founded the international design firm MetaDesign.

During Hans’ 12-year tenure as CEO of MetaDesign, the firm became the global design partner for VW and its brands (including Audi), in an ongoing 25- year long partnership. MetaDesign was also the design partner for the historic East-West reunification of Berlin public transport starting in 1990, and the firm became a global success in internet applications, industrial design, strategic consulting and corporate sound.

During Hans’ 6-year tenure as CEO of the digital design firm Futuredraft in the San Francisco Bay Area, high profile clients included Google, Facebook, Change Healthcare, Charles Schwab and GE.

Hans has been a mindfulness student for more than a decade, studying personal development and the human condition. He is fascinated by the potential of integrating these principles of enlightened consciousness into daily business operations.

In this context, Hans has participated in numerous retreats and studies led by Arnaud Maitland and grounded in the Nyingma lineage of Tibetan Buddhism and the teachings of Tarthang Tulku Rinpoche. He holds an MBA from Texas Christian University and has a German merchant banker degree.
