Paweł Niziński
Strategic consultant, entrepreneur, lecturer, sociologist, graphic designer. Market Explorer in PL and CEE for B Corps and B Lab Europe. 16 years of experience in advertising as creative and creative managing director. 13 years in sustainability consulting.
Paweł brings years of experience from the international advertising industry to his work consulting in the field of sustainability – creating strategies for purposeful brands and sustainable organizations, measuring and reporting their impact, helping to manage stakeholders relations and social innovations.
Recruited by international advertising agencies at the beginning of the 90s, Paweł became one of the key professionals in growing this new sector of PL economy at that time. He was responsible for numerous campaigns as Creative Director (J. Walter Thompson, EURO RSCG), co-founder of the local creative agency Upstairs then merged with Young and Rubicam Group (Upstairs Y&R – Creative Managing Director), serving for nearly 10 years Danone, Unilever, Kraft Jacobs Suchard, P&G, Citroen, Ford, Citibank, Credit Suisse, Nestle and many others.
His move towards Corporate Social Responsibility and Sustainability saw him opening the Polish/CEE branch of GoodBrand and Company in 2007, a UK based, global community of consultants focused on sustainable solutions for business. The company is focused on creative corporate social strategy, building sustainable purposeful brands and enterprises.
In 2015 a social design division was launched under the brand name Better, to bring design thinking into the world of responsible brands. Under Paweł’s leadership GoodBrand Poland / CEE / Better.TM is known as a pioneer in social equity research projects, (launching in PL a study – GoodBrandSocialEquityIndex, then creating the Brand Engagement Tracking Study).
Paweł’s desire to share knowledge about sustainability and the regenerative economy lead him and his team to create a regular quarterly bilingual publication and platform called, CR Navigator / Be-Navigator.pl and www.crnavigator.com
This new magazine and associated media channel unified the language of debate on sustainability and responsible approaches to business across biz/academia/ NGO sectors. Paweł and his team were regularly awarded with “The Pen for Responsible Business Award” by Responsible Business Forum (FOB) for the best practices in writing about sustainability.
Paweł is also a co-organizer (with Henkel Polska) of the Diversity Congress (6th edition to be held January 2020).
Paweł’s most recent projects include: methodology for global leaders training for the IKEA Global in Climate Action, purposeful branding strategy for the no 1. Polish beer (Żywiec), the water access/ water protection stakeholder’s management project for Danone waters in the Carpathia region, strategic consultancy for leading digital medium ONET.pl (part of ReinerAxelSpringerGroup), building ground for “solution journalism” in Poland, replicating The Guardian case in PL circumstances, advising Ashoka PL (volunteering).
As part of his activity as trainer and lecturer (a.o. Akademia Leona Kozminskiego, HBR, SAR (communication agencies association) Academy, Warsaw Polytechnic – MBA course), Paweł is focusing on a strategic approach to sustainable biz and organizations, ethical consumerism, building impact led organizations and understanding their total value creation.
Paweł holds an MA in Sociology from Warsaw University and an MA in Graphic art from the Warsaw Fine Arts Academy.
He believes that sharing knowledge about sustainability and regenerative economy is a determining factor for the shift in solving global and local challenges. As such, his ambition is to continue to grow Better as an impact lead company providing purpose driven innovations for brands and organizations.
Paweł is an avid skier and tries to balance work and family life with time in the mountains and his painter’s studio.
