Renata has 20 years of professional experience in business and sustainability management at Natura Cosmetics as head of marketing and sustainability for the company’s global operations. She was responsible for leading agendas such as sustainable business models and innovation, socio-biodiversity, community trade, sustainable supply chains, Amazon forestal economy, social and environmental impact assessments, and development strategies.
She is an active leader in sustainability as a value-driver for businesses within global networks such as B-Lab, UN Global Compact, Ellen Mac Arthur Foundation and Climate Ventures, and an influencer of more inclusive and sustainable development models for local communities in the Amazon.
In 2018, Renata founded Become, an intelligence hub for innovation and sustainability for companies, developing sustainable business strategies for fashion brands (Havaianas and Osklen), start-ups (Kangu Logistics), and NGO’s (Conexsus and Origens Brazil).
Renata passionately believes that it is possible to take care of the planet, promote social well-being, and generate a positive impact through sustainable and profitable business models. She is dedicated to transformative change and business as a force for good in an inclusive world.
Renata graduated in Business Management at the University of São Paulo, Brazil with a Master’s in Leadership for Sustainability at the University of Cambridge, UK, and in International Management at the University of Grenoble, France, plus specializations at Schumacher College, UK.
